Pamlico County Human Services / PCFLO      252-745-4086 

If you need food, contact the Pamlico County Human Services office. At their office at 828 Main Street in Alliance, you can fill out a one-page application and receive a voucher for the Pamlico County Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry. The Pamlico County Fishes and Loaves of Oriental (PCFLO) Food Pantry is located at 1149 White Farm Road (in St Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church). Food distribution takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 3 on each 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks of the month. You may also fill out the application and receive the voucher at PCFLO  during these hours

Pamlico County Schools distributes lunches for those 18 and under on Mondays and Thursdays. If you can't make it to a pickup location, call your child's school to get on the delivery list. PCPS 745-3404, FAA 745-4611, PCMS 745-4061, PCHS 745-3151

HeartWorks distributes hot, individually packaged meals for those 18 and under on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Pamlico County High School cafeteria.

Parents who need food assistance for their children can text FOODNC to 877-877 to locate nearby free meal sites. The texting service is also available in en Espanol by texting COMIDA to 877-877.
